Q: What does the name “Dawn of Ashes” mean?
A: The beginning of the end / The birth of death & failure

Q: Why did Dawn of Ashes change genres?
A: DOA never “changed”, but the more appropriate word is “evolved”. Every growing artist / band matures within their own sound. Dawn of Ashes was always a band that was influenced by Metal & Rock, so it was inevitable that DOA was going to mature / evolve into a more Metal / Rock band with elements of Industrial. Dawn of Ashes will never go back to being a purely “EBM” act, & doesn’t really care to be classified as one genre. 

Q: Is the Dawn of Ashes “Metal” act, the same as the Dawn of Ashes “EBM” act?
A: Yes, the band started as a EBM act & matured into a Metal / Rock act. The new album “Anathema” which was released in 2013 on Metropolis Records is a Hybrid of Metal, Industrial, & Shock Rock which basically combined the elements of everything that DOA was & is currently.
